Barbara Ann (Bennett) Kashouty entered the nearer presence of our Lord on September 24, 2018. Waiting joyfully were her husband, Jack L. Kashouty and her parents, Henry Marshall and Alice Kathryn (Winthrop) Bennett and her brother, William Marshall Bennett.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Leslie (Patrick) Laqua and their children, Skyelar and Kathryn and Betty Kashouty and her child, Taylor.
Barbara was the oldest of four children and leaves her sister, Betty (Mark) Petrichuk and brother, Bruce to remember their childhood. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Barbara met her husband, Jack Kashouty at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base where they both proudly served. They married and were together 48 years before Jack’s passing.
She was a loving, kind, giving lady to all people and could always be counted on to support you. Her children and grandchildren deeply mourn her passing and will remember her as “Mom” and “Meme”, her two most proud names.
The family invites friends to celebrate her Life at St. Francis Episcopal Church at 11 AM on Friday September 28, 2018. She will be placed in the columbarium of the St. Francis Chapel.
Her children wish to gratefully acknowledge the kindness and great compassion Hospice of South Texas exemplified during this time. No greater gift could mom have received than these wonderful care providers. Special thanks to Dr. Whitehouse, Samantha, Beth, Blanca, Stephanie, Terry and both Lisa’s as well as Michelle and Lynn.
We respectfully request in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Hospice of South Texas so that others, too, may share in their comfort and compassion.
