Barry Lee Jones

Barry Lee Jones, 72, of Victoria, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend was called home on April 3, 2017. Barry was born to Casey Charles Jones and Anne May Jones on June 10, 1944 in Yonkers, NY, but he got to Texas as fast as he could. In 1962 he married the love of his life, Martha Irene Jones. Together they raised four amazing children. He was a graduate of Victoria High School, Class of 1963.

Barry was a City of Victoria electrician for seventeen years. He then went into sales for Mid-Coast Electric, where he has worked for these past thirty-seven years. He was a fisherman, hunter, cattleman and could play a mean game of Dominos. He was forever going out of his way to give a helping hand to anyone, and always quick with a joke.

Barry is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and his granddaughter, Shelby Marie Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Martha Irene Jones; his sons, Casey Allen Jones (Tracy), Vernon Lee Jones (Cindy), Christopher Michael Jones (Corinna) of Las Vegas, NV, and his daughter, LeAnne Jones Cano (Michael); grandchildren, Justin Jones, Joshua Jones, Kyler Jones, Tanner Cano, Sjon Cano and Michael Cano; cousin, Diane Striedel; his family at Mid Coast Electric; and constant 4-legged companions, Libby and Abigail. Barry was incredibly loved and will be missed by all of us.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Adopt-a-Pet.

Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
