

Bertrand Dennis Morris, Jr., 88, of Victoria, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012. He was born February 17, 1924, in Houston to the late Bertrand Dennis Morris, Sr. and Dolores Mary Quinn Morris. He was a retired field maintenance foreman with Exxon Corp. USA. He served as a PHM 1/C in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years, Mary Matilda Barry Morris; his parents; daughter, Mary “Sissie” Mazoch; and brothers, James “Dick” Davenport and Marvin French.
Survivors: second wife, Evelyn Mallette Morris; daughters, K. Aileen Maloney of Houston, Maurine Fisher of Victoria, Fleurette Rehak of Temple, and Michelle McKissick of Houston; and son, William “Bill” Morris of Bryan; brother, Charles Davenport of Houston; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel on March 30, 2012, at 6:00 pm followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm.
Funeral mass will be recited at 10:30 am on March 31, 2012, at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Rev. David Berger officiating. Entombment with full military honors will be at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Eric Fisher, George Fisher, Andrew McKissick, James McKissick, William Morris, and John Rehak.
Honorary pallbearers will be John G. Barry, John Sabrsula and Robert “Bob” O’Neill.
