Betty J. Gisler Henley, of Mission Valley, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1, 2018. She was born in Victoria County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gisler. Betty was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and served in various and numerous offices and organizations while serving her Lord. She was a woman of unwavering faith who had a deep love for her family and was known for her kindness by her friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a passion for baking and sewing and won several awards.
Betty is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tom Henley III; son, Colby Henley (Karen) of Tucson, AZ.; sister, Eva Cooke of Victoria; brothers, Wayne Gisler of Hot Springs, AR, Glenn Gisler of Victoria; granddaughter, Jennifer Salazar (Marcos) of Tucson, AZ and 4 great-grandchildren, Elliana, Diego, Adrielle and Dominic Salazar.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, James Wade Henley and daughter, Shannon Henley.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 10-11 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mission Valley. Funeral services will follow at 11 am with Pastor Couchman officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mission Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bob Gisler, Rex Mayes, Ross Mansker, Tommy Matausek, Dale Fowler and Herb Watts.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Christ the King Lutheran Church.
