Betty was born and raised in Arkansas. She moved to California in her adult years, where she resided with her husband and family, in Yorba Linda, CA. In 2008, she and her husband John, returned to Arkansas to live out their retirement years in a log home in Benton, AR.
Born the daughter of a sharecropper. Betty was a 1956 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She proudly served in the Navy June - December 1958. Her choice of Navy enlistment was inspired by her two older brothers. She served as an Airman Apprentice at MCAS, El Toro, California. Betty often talked about her aspirations of continuing coursework in the Navy to become an Air Traffic Controller. She attended Santa Ana College in CA to study Bookkeeping. Her career included work at Huntington Beach Hospital for ten years, Care Enterprises where she earned her “President’s ring”. She then worked for Hallmark Healthcare, and finally Covenant Care as an Accounts Receivable Manager. In addition she handled all the administrative and bookkeeping for her husband’s Landscaping and Irrigation business.
Betty was a member of the Provincia de La Sal Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She did extensive research in genealogy to learn about her ancestors and those of extended family. She loved reading romance novels and she will always be remembered for her fried chicken. She had a love for animals, and each pet she had was an added extension to her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Eugene Ollar, mother, Ruby Lucille (Hunter) Ollar, Step-mother, Versie Mae Ollar, Brothers; Elston Eugene Ollar and Claudie Ray Ollar, Step-sister; Irma Jean Barnett, Step-brother; Clyde “Sonny” Bradshaw. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, John S. Mozisek and her son; John S. “Mo” Mozisek, II.
She is survived by her sons; Charles E. “Butch” Dobis, Jr. of Little Rock, AR and Thomas E. “Bo” Dobis (Marilyn) of Everton, MO.
Betty leaves behind three grandchildren, namely: Thomas Justin Dobis (Stephanie), Jennifer Lynn Flores (Todd), and Briana Renee Richardson (Tim). She is a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren; Addelyn Dobis, Bradley Dobis, Brody Martinez, Hank Flores, Owen Flores, and Colton Richardson. She also leaves behind several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Ashby Funeral Home, Benton, AR and Rosewood Funeral Home in Hallettsville, TX. A graveside service for Betty will be held, Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cemetery (Worthing) 1216 Alt US 77 Hallettsville, TX.

Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband, John Mozisek and their youngest son, John Mozisek, II at Saint Augustine Cemetery, Hallettsville, TX.
