Betty Marie May Ritchie

Betty Marie Ritchie, 80, of Victoria passed away November 3, 2011. She was born May 22, 1931, in Gonzales County, Texas, to the late W.E. and Ruth Ruddock May. She was a housewife and a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a volunteer for the Twice Blessed Showroom.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey C. Ritchie; daughter-in-law, Paula Ritchie, both of Victoria; brother, Bill May of Gonzales; grandchildren, Brad, Justin, and Brittany Ritchie of Victoria; three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Ritchie, son, Wesley K. Ritchie, and a brother, Leonard May.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 10 am from the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilyn Roeder officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Ritchie and Justin Ritchie, Steve, Ken and Rick May and Grady Gillespie.
