
Billy Ray Dyson, 73, of Inez, passed away Friday, February 7, 2013. He was born August 17, 1940, in Arp, Tennessee to Carl and Minnie Dyson. He moved to Lolita and he graduated from Industrial High School in 1959. For college he attended UT Austin and graduated from Sam Houston State. Bill became an Auditor for the State of Texas and maintained that position for 25 years until retiring at age 55.
Bill married his high school sweetheart, Patsy Sembera, on June 2, 1963. They raised two boys, Craig and Jason Dyson. They enjoyed annual fishing trips to South Padre Island, hunting and spending time doing projects with his family. He will be most remembered for his loyalty, strong family values and being an avid supporter of the Miller Brewing Company, one can at a time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Minnie, and his brother, Carl T. He is survived by his wife, Patsy, his sister, Daisy Dees (Leland), his brother, Travis (Sherry) and sons, Craig and Jason (Alyssa), and his grandchildren Keith (13) and Luke (11).
Visitation will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 from 4-6 PM, at the Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2 PM at Red Bluff Cemetery with Rev. Gabriel Bentil officiating.
