My husband Rich and I would like to extend our condolences to all the Waldrep family. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Waldrep but knew of him and his wife through his son Keith, who I worked with back in the 90's. Keith is one of our dearest friends to this day who we consider family. (He even sang the Lords prayer at our wedding back in 1994). Keith always shared beautiful stories of both his mom and dad and his brother Ken, going home and how they cooked and did things around the home, played dominoes and so much more. We loved hearing how his family was and he always asked about ours also. I wanted to share this as a testament to honor Mr. Waldrep and also his wife and the beautiful sons they raised. Thoughtful and kind and loving carrying their legacy on. May God Bless Mr. Waldrep and all the Waldrep family. Sending prayers and love, Sharon & Rich

We were moved to Victoria in 1978 by CPL for a 5 yr tenure. I already knew Bill from my work in substation design. I had a project to replace all of the 69 KV breakers in the Victoria Power Plant Switchyard. Bill & his substation maintenance men made it happen. He was so knowledgeable & full of common sense. After we moved to Victoria, I saw Bill every day at work, & we enjoyed coffee together while discussing work problems.
My appreciation for Bill goes beyond the workplace. He helped my wife, & I when we had problems with our septic system. Many times, I visited Bill & Ruth at their house. They just made you want to sit & visit for awhile & enjoy their hospitality.
Bill & Ruth have beat us to heaven but I look forward to seeing them when I cross over & join so many believers who've gone on before us. Our condolences ... Lynn & Shirley Bailey

As neighbors to the Waldreps, I have fond memories of playing 42 with Bill, Ruth, & Gary, and also Keith & Ken. I can't forget eating the delicious homemade angel food cake that Mrs. Waldrep made.
Mr. Waldrep always had corny jokes or riddles to tell me. They sure had a lot of patience or endurance for listening to Gary and me playing our guitars. Those were good times indeed!
Gary, Keith & Ken: I am sorry for your dad's passing and my prayers are with you in this difficult time.

We lived next door to the Waldrep family on Seguin Street in the 1970’s . They were our neighbors, but they treated us like family. We were always welcome in their home, I have many memories of eating Ruth’s delicious cookies/desserts and playing on their living room stairs for hours (we didn’t have stairs so we were quite impressed). Bill and Ruth never sent us home as my parents had to routinely come get us.
Even as a child, my brother, sister and I understood what a great family they were~ they were a family of faith, raised great boys and had a loving marriage. Their marriage was a great example to my parents, Bill and Ruth loved others around them and loved each other. I remember Bill was always friendly and kind with a great sense of humor~ My family feels so very blessed to call the Waldrep family friends ~ They truly were one of God’s greatest gifts to our family. Gary, Keith and Ken~ My thoughts and prayers are with you all

Mr. Walgreens was our neighbor. We knew the family for years. My brother was close to the 3 boys.
So sorry to hear of his passing.
The family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My family had the distinct pleasure of being neighbors of the Waldrep's in the 1960s. Bill and Ruth were like another set of parents to me. Bill was very soft spoken. He liked to kid around a lot. You couldn't tell if he was pulling your leg or not until you saw that grin appear on his face. I'll miss that grin.

His generation was special. I hate to see that come to an end. Hard working, honest, dedicated and devoted. Those values are almost non-existent now days. Rest In Peace Bill.

Miss Ruth carried me as a 5 pound newborn from our car to my crib; finally I grew old enough to join my siblings at bouncing down the waldrep's carpeted stair steps !!

Miss Ruth carried me as a 5 pound newborn from our car to my crib; finally I grew old enough to join my siblings at bouncing down the waldrep's carpeted stair steps ! And Ruth always had fresh cookies for us to eat.

We three Bomersbach children created memories of the waldrep family.
Mom & Dad trusted older brother, Gary waldrep, to take me at age 5 to an Aggie football game; I saw Tony Franklin kick barefooted, and I still have the helmet Franklin game me. Byron Scott Bomeresbach
I tried several times to climb our chain-link fence so I could visit Ruth as she prepared treats for us children; my parents caught me each time. Amy Ann Bomersbach Sandoval

When we moved into the Seguin Street neighborhood, our family was "taken in" by the Bill and Ruth Waldrep family.
Bill was a "Wonder Man" at repairing, construction, electric work and overhauling gas and diesel motors. Bill was a problem solver ! We were blessed to know this family. May the Lord greet Bill; you never know He may have a major mechanical problem for Bill to solve !

Dear Waldrep Family:
I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad and sending my sympathy. He and your mother were a blessing to us and wonderful neighbors. I have fond memories of them. He was a dedicated family man. He was loving, caring, kind, funny, loved camping and the outdoors.
I always enjoyed hearing his many jokes. I am truly going to miss our phone calls and visiting him when in town. He lived a great life. He and your mother are now reunited. We love you and are holding you all close in our hearts. Sending you all my love.
