Bonnie Faye Edwards passed away peacefully at home on October 17th, 2025 at the age of 63 surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born May 3rd, 1962 in El Campo, TX to the late Verlie Mae Braun and Raymond Kuretsch.
Bonnie grew up in Ganado, TX, where she played volleyball, participated in FFA, and ultimately graduated from Ganado High School in 1980.
Bonnie and Trey moved to Victoria, TX, where she made a loving home for her family. She went to work for the Attorney General's Office and retired after 30 years of service. She touched many of her coworkers' hearts and developed lifelong friendships.
Bonnie was cherished by many for her loving nature, her commitment to her family and her relationship with the Lord. She was an especially proud Mimi to her grandchildren. Bonnie was passionate about many things, but especially traveling, reading, spending time with family and their getaway house in Ezzel, Tx. In her free time it was rare to see her without a book, but if you did, she was likely quilting, shopping, or volunteering at Midcoast Family Services.
Bonnie is survived by her adoring husband Thomas “Trey” Edwards III, to whom she shared nearly 44 years of love and laughter; daughter, Mollie Sherman and husband Jason of Victoria, TX; brother Douglas Kuretsch of Ganado, TX; Robbie Kuretsch and wife, Brette of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Taylor, Zach, Gage, and Gavin, and a great grandmother to newly born Skylar. And numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be November 5, 2025 at 10 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Followed by a reception and fellowship.
A private inurnment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.
