Brian K. Martinez

Brian K. Martinez, 23, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010. He was born Aug. 9, 1987, in Houston to Diana Mejia Martinez of Omaha, Neb., and Richard Martinez of Victoria. He graduated from Victoria High School in 2006. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Karen Marie DeLeon of Phoenix, Ariz.; and grandfather and lifetime caretaker, Lorenzo Mejia, Sr. of Victoria.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Martinez; brother, George Martinez; and grandmother, Virginia Mejia.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Father Juan Antonio Perez officiating. Burial will follow in Guadalupe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Cruz Nelson, Lorenzo Olguin, Christopher Huerta Jr., Benny Mejia, Abram J. Mejia and Ruben Caballero.

Memorials may be made to masses at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
