Born on February 5, 1947, Carolyn dedicated her life to her family and to the education and care of others. As a teacher, she touched countless lives with her patience, wisdom, and kindness—leaving a lasting impact on generations of students.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kelso; daughters Kristin Franzino and Kelly Holland; and her loving grandchildren Joseph Franzino, Sarah Larkin, Madelyn Franzino, Mark Franzino, Luke Holland, and Alyssa Holland. Carolyn is also survived by her brother, Thomas Edwards, and sister, Debbie Applet.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Kenneth Tray Kelso; her mother, Faye Horn; and her father, Jackson Horn. Though her loss is deeply felt, her memory will live on through those she loved and the many lives she enriched.
Visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 1801 E. Red River St., Victoria, Texas, on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Tivoli Cemetery.
Carolyn’s legacy is one of compassion, quiet strength, and devotion to others. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
