Carrie Smith Mueller

Carrie Smith Mueller, 64, of Victoria passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born October 28, 1953 in Port Lavaca to David Bruce and Belle Dunlap Smith. Carrie was a teacher for 18 years for Victoria Independent School District and a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Carrie was a member of numerous clubs including Sandalphon, Lioness Club, Junior Service League, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Sunday School teacher and church council member. Her passion besides teaching was remodeling and decorating and her work is scattered all over town.

Carrie is loved and remember by her husband, Dr. Gary Mueller; daughter, Cheryl Mueller (Seth) Brumley of Victoria; son, Blake Wayne (Melissa) Mueller of Katy; mother, Belle Smith of Seadrift; sisters, Brucene Galvan of San Antonio; Suzanne Burt of Austin; brother, Robert Bruce Smith of Victoria; and three grandchildren, Waylon Brumley, Theron Mueller and Rowan Mueller.

Carrie’s father, David Bruce Smith preceded her in death along with sisters, Darlene Howard and Cindy Peterson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 4102 N. Ben Jordan. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church with Rev. John Waak officiating. Graveside services will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery Wednesday afternoon.

Pallbearers are Mark Mueller, Frank Gruen, Daniel Hamil, Dean Hamil, Aaron Peterson, Stanley Peterson, Bobby Smith, Thomas Gruen, Kyle Gruen, Waylon Brumley, Theron Mueller and Seth Brumley.
