Carrol C. Carter, 89 of Victoria passed away August 17, 2014. He was born April 2, 1925 in Karnes City, Texas to the late Carrol C. Carter, Sr. and Iva Miller Carter. Carrol was a graduate of Corpus Christi High School and was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps during the invasion of Okinawa. Mr. Carter was in the automobile industry most of his life in Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Victoria.
Carrol is survived by his 3 children, Maya Sandra Goodson (Gary McCoy), Chris Carter (Martha), and Melissa Alvarez (Joe) and 8 grandchildren, Jimmy, Jeanne, Colleen, Lisa, Matthew, Andrea, Jennifer, Thomas and 11 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Grace, Eva, Erin, John Carter, Emily Rose, Maddie, Ardyn, Zander, Isabella, and Ella.
In addition to his parents, Carrol was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Harvard Carter and sister, Marguerite Hart
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with full military honors provided by the Victoria Veterans Council.
