Catherine Fossati Wyatt

Catherine Fossati Wyatt, 69, a lifelong resident of Victoria, passed away in her home on Monday, July 16, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Catherine lived a life of devotion to her Catholic faith and dedication to her large extended family. She was truly an inspiration to all that met her. She was born October 5, 1942 in Victoria, to the late Frank Louis and Ella May Vogt Fossati.

Catherine was co-owner and manager of Fossati’s Delicatessen and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Before becoming co-owner and manager of Fossati’s, she also held positions at Groce Wearden, Southwestern Bell and was the Director of the March of Dimes.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Rabb Wyatt of 33 years; daughters, Susan Konarik Darshad of Houston and Jill Konarik Lau (Randal) of Victoria; sons, Christopher Konarik (Rise) of Victoria and Patrick Konarik (Terri) of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Jack Lau, Catherine Darshad, Luke Lau, Adam Konarik, Bailey Konarik, Mary Grace Konarik, Katie Konarik and Will Lau; sisters, Veronica Pahmiyer, Gloria Borreca of Houston, and twin, Therese Bomersbach; brothers, Frank Anthony Fossati, Gerard Fossati of Houston and Xavier Fossati.

She is also survived by her husband’s children whom she loved dearly, Leigh Ann Wyatt Bailey (Alex), Alissa Beth Wyatt and Jason Robb Wyatt (Tammy); grandchildren, Sara Orsak, Eric Ramirez, Leah Bailey, Isaac Simmons, Dariyn Scott, Charlye Catherine Scott, Kristan Wyatt, Robb Lee Wyatt, Matt Clark, Amber Westfall and four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Monta Fae Kinsey and Dortha Pruitt (Sam); brother-in-law, Charlie Wyatt (Betty); cousin, Jo Ann Hough whom she grew up with, lifelong friends, Lavon Glover and Mary Lee Blanton, and her faithful companion Daisy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children’s father, Victor Konarik; sister, Rita Tuttle; brothers, Vincent Fossati and Gregory Fossati; sisters-in-law, Annette Fossati and Patty Fossati and brother-in-law, Frank Anthony Borreca.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6-7 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jack Lau, Luke Lau, Adam Konarik, Bailey Konarik, Eric Ramirez and Isaac Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers are Randal Lau, Faramarz Darshad, Alex Bailey, Johnny Bomersbach, Jeffrey Blanton and Bill Hough.
