Charles lived a full and meaningful life, marked by dedication to his family, faith, and work. He honorably served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army, demonstrating unwavering strength, integrity, and commitment to a cause greater than himself.
In 1982, Charles was given the remarkable opportunity to work overseas and proudly brought his family along for the adventure. In 1996, he returned to the United States and went on to work as an Instrument Electrical Supervisor at Formosa, where he remained until his retirement.
Charles was a man of many passions. He enjoyed playing softball, scuba diving, photography, bowling, watching NASCAR, and above all, sharing the word of God with those around him. His love for life, laughter, and the Lord left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Teresa King, with whom he shared many years and precious memories.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynda Jocelyn King; his children, Kimberly King (Oscar), Kevin King (Alexis), Keri Smalley (David), and Holly Duering (Stephen); and his cherished grandchildren, Emily Sager (Hayden), Charlie King (Dayton), Shawn Quinn (Riley), Parker King, Aaron Duering, and Luke Duering.
Family and friends are cordially invited to share their memories and pay their respects during a visitation on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
A military graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Seaside Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
