

VICTORIA – Charles Sidney “Jack” Snow, loving father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the age of 79. Jack was born September 27, 1934 in Pana, Illinois to Carl Joseph Snow and Ruth Frye Snow. He married his high school sweetheart, Sarah Elizabeth Cook on September 25, 1955, and together they raised two children.
In 1964, Jack moved his family to the warmer climate of South Texas, where he began his career as a drafter/designer until he retired. Jack had several hobbies – stamp collecting, coin collecting, and model railroading. He was very proud of his “railroad city” and was thrilled when anyone asked to see it. In earlier years, he was a golfer and an avid bowler.
Jack is survived by his daughter Candace Snow Trahan (Michael); daughter-in-law Susan Hobbs Snow; grandsons Scott Alan Snow (companion Lana Schomburg), Tyler Nicholas Trahan (Natalie), Hunter Cole
Trahan; granddaughters Kristen Snow-Green (Jerome), Kori Trahan Dollins (Kyler); great-granddaughter Mackenzie Renee’ Green, all of Victoria; a sister, Carla Snow Neal (Michael) of Charleston, Illinois; sisters-in-law Linda Snow of Yuma, Arizona and Janet Snow of Mattoon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Richard Alan Snow, grandson Matthew Jay Snow, and brothers Thomas Stuart Snow and James Lee Snow.
The family will receive friends Tuesday February 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday February 12, 2014 at 2 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
