Red proudly served in the USMC during WWII in the Pacific Theater at the Battle of Okinawa, April 1, 1945. After the war, he worked in the oilfield.
Red is survived by his daughters, Lawana Barksdale (Tom) and Rita Burke (John); grandchildren, Stephanie Reichert-Garza (Eddie), Melissa Reichert (David), Jessica Garza (David), Jennifer Schaefer (Ryan), Carl Ruschhaupt (Megan), Adam Foster and Yancey Pierce; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Brown Tilley; sons, Jesse and Ross Tilley; brother, Lee Roy Tilley, daughters, Darolyn Foster and Mary Repka; grandson, James Barksdale and a great grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Mission Valley Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at colonialfuneralhomevictoria.com
