

Charlie Raska, Jr., 84, of Victoria, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015. Charlie was born on October 27, 1930 in Iowa Colony, Texas to the late Charlie Raska, Sr. and Stevie Borecky Raska. Charlie owned and operated Hi-Way Motors in Victoria for 17 years. He was a retired commercial fisherman and a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Coletoville. Charlie proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred Billo Raska; daughters, Ruth E. (Jim) Krause and Diane M. (Blane) Schroeder; son, Darrell W. (Darlene) Raska; sister, Georgia Rogers; brother, Harrison Raska, all of Victoria; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benny and Joe Raska.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 19, 2015, 10:00 am at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Pastor Jeff Bergeron officiating. Burial will follow at Coletoville Cemetery with Full Military honors by the Victoria County Veterans Council.
Pallbearers will be Russell Krause, Brad Schroeder, Doug Schroeder, Jonathon Raska, Shawn Koenig and Robert McMullen, Jr.
Memorials may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Texas.
