It has taken me a bit to be able to write this. Chris was my cousin. There were four of us, Chris and his sister Sherry, me and my brother Mark....all born within about 4 years of each other. We spent many many summers together. In fact, my father is the person who introduced Chris to golf....and chewed him out when he caught him chopping divets in the green for fun (he reminded me of this the day before he passed). As we all aged, we didn't get to see each other as often but when we did, it was as if we had never been apart. Then about four years ago I purchased property near Chris's parents and sister and since he was at their place often we got to spend much more time together. I will truly miss him. He was one of a kind. His laugh and smile will forever be a part of me. So Chris...until we meet again, please enjoy your time in Heaven playing golf with Uncle Ken and please don't chop divets again (I'm not sure he can yell at you up there).

My sincerest sympathies to the entire Janak Family. Chris was always the nicest and kindest person (along with Dennis Satsky and his senior classmates) to me and my class as Freshmen at Sacred Heart. Chris treated us with respect and were excellent mentors in how to treat other and he continued to show kindness whenever we would see each other post graduation. Thank you Chris for showing your beautiful, kind soul to all those who had the pleasure of meeting you. Your sincere acts of kindness will always be remembered in my heart.

So many memories of Chris as my LNRA coworker. We shared the same end of the hall "across the hall" buddies. I always recognized when he would come in the back door, a shuffle of his feet, then walk toward my office, pause and say "what's going on Karen?" I would alway pick at him about being out of the office all day and coming in the afternoon ...my reply to him was always "where you been? Doesn't look like you been working" Chris was someone you wanted on your team. You could always depend on him to have a listening ear and a calm demeanor. He had a special relationship with everyone no matter what department they worked in. I could always depend on Chris to give it to me straight...he always seem to to have the inside "scoop" to help us all see the whole picture. I'm going to miss you like crazy and keep thinking you are going to walk in that back door....Fly high and keep us straight down here. Faith tells me that you are in God's open arms....Love you Chris. To Stephanie, Christine, and Cody....you had one of the best dads and husbands! To Chris' Mom and Dad.....you certainly raised him right! Peace and comfort to you guys in these difficult days ahead! Love and hugs, Karen
