Christopher Ray Albrecht, Jr., 38, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and more than a few legendary negotiations no one will ever quite top.
Chris, born in Cuero, Texas, was a man who never met a stranger—just people he had not yet convinced to give him a better deal. Known for his talent (and persistence) in bartering, he approached life the same way; with humor, determination, and a knack for making everything more interesting.
He had a deep love for his family and friends. Whether spending time together, sharing meals, or cracking jokes, Chris made sure there was never a dull moment. He was also a devoted dog dad to his two beloved pups, Harley and Tyson, who were lucky to receive his loyalty, attention, and, likely, a few extra treats.
Chris enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—bowling with friends, days at the gun range, talking and driving cars and motorcycles, and floating the Frio River during a hot Texas summer. Those moments, filled with laughter and good company, were where he felt most at home.
He is survived by his loving mother, Karen Albrecht; his father, Chris Albrecht Sr.; his sister, Desiree Carpenter, and brother-in-law, Brandon Carpenter; his nieces, Kamryn and Karstyn; and his nephew, Kyle Carpenter; grandmother, Marilyn Ethridge—all of whom will carry forward his stories, humor, and unmistakable spirit. He is also survived by his aunt, Dee Ann Watts, and uncle, Jim Watts, and uncle, Billy Ethridge.
He was preceded in death by Bill Ethridge, Sr., Joyce Long, Clarence Long, Donald and Billye Albrecht, and Dr. Kathy Ethridge.
Christopher will be remembered for his big personality, sharp wit, and the way he could turn even the smallest moment into a memory worth keeping. The world is a little quieter—and a lot less entertaining—without him.
