

Clarence “CL” Jaschke, 92, passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2014 at 4:13 PM at Paradise Oaks Assisted Living & Personal Care Home. He was born March 29, 1921 to Leo Carl Jaschke and Barbara Ann Piegsa in Victoria Texas. Clarence married Audrey Alice Wilson on Oct. 8, 1947 in the home of his parents. They celebrated 66 years of marriage in 2013 and have lived in Victoria all of those years.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert Leo Jaschke of Victoria, Allen Jaschke of California and sister Elizabeth Wagner of Victoria. He is survived by his wife Audrey, sons Ralph Damon Jaschke & wife Natalie of Victoria and Albert “Al” Lynn Jaschke of Euless Texas and grandson Aaron Clayton Jaschke (Ralph’s son) of California. He had many nieces and nephews and he was very fond of each of them.
Clarence served in WWII in Europe, was a Staff Sergeant in the 386th Bombardment Group, Squadron 354 and awarded the Army Air Forces Technician Badge for Airplane Mechanics. He was a life time member of the V.F.W. Post 4146. Full military honors will be rendered by the Victoria Veterans Council.
He worked for Halliburton for 46 ½ years in Victoria, Corpus Christi and Refugio until his retirement in 1986.
Visitation is Wed., Feb. 12th 5 to 8 PM at Rosewood Chapel. A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held at First Christian Church on Thur., Feb. 13th at 2 PM with The Reverend Steve Digby and Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Pallbearers- Mark Meek, Victor Rendon, Kent Grier, Jim Dusak, P.L. Gill, Chris Franklin, John Brill and Bill Holcomb. Honorary Pallbearers-Robert Tripson, Tony Piegsa and the men of First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 2105 N. Ben Jordan, Victoria, 77901; Hospice of South Texas, 605 Locust Ave, Victoria, 77901 or a charity of donor’s choice.
