Oh my dearest Mrs. Di,
I will always remember Mr. Di'S telling me as he is picking up his lunch from the kitchen." Now you never let them bring you down." I would say, oh never Sir. I would ask him , "how are you doing today." "Oh I'm great, still moving!"
I will miss Mr. Di Silvestro dearly..
It will be the little things that we will
remember, the conversations, the smiles & the laughter. It's those memories that will help us get through the pain & be able to smile when we think of Mr.Di.
Mrs. Di, I'm so sorry I was unable to attend the services today.
You are in my prayers Mrs. Di & always in my heart.
Sincerely, your friend
Grace H

I want to send my prayers and condolences to Dawn and family. Mr. D, (as he was known to all his students) inspired me in the field of computers/IT back in the early 80's at Paducah Community College. He had such a passion for instilling a wealth of information that made students want to attend every class to gain knowledge. He also had a great sense of humor. I remember one time when I was sick and coughing so bad, he told me to go home and make a hot toddy. I told him I was not a drinker, but I tried the remedy. The next day had a wild headache, he laughed so hard and said I was a fly weight. I have such wonderful memories of Mr. D. God bless you all and take comfort in knowing he was an outstanding person and instructor.
