Cruz Maria Garcia

Cruz Mary Garcia, 73, formerly of Victoria, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014. She was born in Victoria, Texas, May 2, 1941 to the late Santos and Elia Cantu Martinez. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Susie Garcia, Maria Stindt, Elia Garcia, Inez Rodriguez, Ruben Garcia, Jr., Danail Garcia, Alfredo Garcia and Branden Garcia; sisters, Elia Chacon, Genevieve Gonzales, Margaret Lopez; brothers, Eluterio Martinez and Antonio C. Martinez; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ruben Garcia, Sr., sister, Lorenza Flores, and daughter, Alexandria Garcia.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, December 1, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ruben Garcia, III, Robert Garcia, Tirso Patrick Alvarez, Rodney Lacey, Michael Rodriguez and Clay Stindt; honorary pallbearer, Danail Garcia, Jr.
