DeAnne Marie Villarreal

DeAnne Marie Rapp Villarreal was born December 14, 1988, in Charleston, SC, to James Rapp and Michelle Thompson Rapp. The family moved back to Texas in 1991, and DeAnne went to school in Bloomington. She was a hair stylist, and she worked at the Port Lavaca Sheriff’s Office for a couple of years.

DeAnne leaves behind her daughter Anastasia Villarreal; her son A.J. Rangel and stepson Malachi Villarreal; her mother Michelle Rapp; sister Amber Rapp; grandmother Simone Tipton; aunts Belinda Thompson, Darlene Thompson, and Joey Thompson, Anna Tipton; uncles Jeff Thompson and Michael Tipton; and cousins Jeffrey Thompson, Haley, and Jeff Simco. DeAnne also leaves behind numerous cousins, great aunts and great-uncles, Gabe Villarreal, in-laws Armando and Elma Villarreal, and many friends.

DeAnne is preceded in death by her father, James Rapp; her grandparents, Doretha Steen and Lee Joslin; and her grandfathers, James B. Thompson, Gerald Tipton, and Bob Ahrens.

Her friends called her Skittles because of her different hair colors. She was a social butterfly and was a beautiful soul. Deanne will be greatly missed!

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 1-3 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, with a service to begin at 3 pm. Pastor Keith Ashenbeck will officiate.
