

Dolores Ann Smith, 81, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was born December 12, 1933, in Belle, West Virginia, to the late Elbert H. and Luella Cris Daugherty. She was a retired administrative assistant for the University of Houston. Dolores loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was a charter member of the Friends of Devereux, volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and worked with meals on wheels. Her hobbies included playing Bridge with her friends, sewing, playing Bunco and fishing. She was an active member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. Visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a highlight of her life.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Green of Victoria and Paulette (Paul) Pribyl of Friendswood; sons, Roger (Leslee) Smith and Lon Smith, both of Victoria; a sister, Barbara Brown of Michigan; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank P. Smith.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, March 2, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Rev. David King and Rev. Charles Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Green, Roger Green, Chad Pribyl, Collin Smith, Paul Pribyl, James West and Dwayne Marsh.
