He served his country honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating strength and dedication to a cause greater than himself. As a dedicated member of the American Legion, Don assisted with military honors for many of his fallen comrades.
During his life, he was a beekeeper and enjoyed woodworking.
Being proud of his heritage and Scottish culture, Don had his own tartan.
He is survived by his son, Malcolm McNabb, and his wife, Shelby, of Bayview, and one granddaughter, Marissa Rubin.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Shirley J. McNabb in 2021; a daughter, Linda Sue Savala; parents, Norman Gilbert and Lanie Elizabeth Wear McNabb; sister, Marie Elizabeth Carinder; and an infant brother, Norman G. McNabb Jr.
