Donald Wright Sion

He was born on July 18, 1937 in Victoria, Tx to the late John N. “Nick “ Sion and Ellen Virginia Wright Sion. Donald was longtime Clerk at the Victoria Post Office. He was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army in the First Calvary while stationed in Korea. Donald was a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph High School where he excelled in all sports . He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed all the Great Outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Millie Gregurek Sion, of Victoria. Sons; Craig Sion, of Houston, Keith Sion, of Victoria, Chris Sion, and Grandson Nicholas Sion of Victoria. Brother; John Sion and wife Mary Lou, of Houston. Aunt, Edith Wright, of Missouri City.

A Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, 2 pm at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, Rev. Celestino Say , Officiating. Burial will follow at Catholic Cemetery # 2

Pallbearers are Joe Wyatt, John McAlpine, Pat Tagliabue, John Hilshire, Larry Pahmiyer, Sidney Bochat.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Gregurek, Ed Gregurek, Joe Wright, Russell Wright, Michael Malone, John Sion III, All 1955 Classmates of St. Joseph High School.

Memorials may be made to The Altar Restoration Project at Our Lady of Lourdes.
