Dora Lux DeLeon, 75, of Victoria, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. She was born October 10, 1945 in Sinton, Texas to Prospero and Eduvirgen Loa Rangel. Mrs. DeLeon was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful follower of Christ and was a member of Our Lady Of Sorrows Church and devoted a lot of her free time to praying for all of those in need.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Gonzales (Joe) of Edna, Vicky Zarate (Domingo) of Edna, JoAnn DeLeon of Victoria, and Martha Resendez of Edna; son, Adam Moreno of Edna; sisters, Elvira Montez and Rachael Rangel of Victoria; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny DeLeon; parents; sisters, Annie Rangel, Modesta Perez, and Lupita Rangel; brothers, Santiago “Jimmy” Rangel and Johnny Rangel; and one great-grandchild, Aria Serenity Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria, Texas with Burial to follow at the Latin American Cemetery located in Edna, Texas.
Pallbearers will be David Cavazos, Domingo Zarate, Joe Gonzales, Randy Rangel and Michael Montez with Adam Moreno Jr. as an Honorary Pallbearer.
