Dorothy was a loving wife to her late husband, Jack Edward Caylor, for over 65 years and they raised their four children together. She was an incredibly gifted seamstress and artist with thousands of homemade treasures that she proudly and generously shared with her friends and family.
To know Momma, Gran, Aunt Dorothy, or Doodle, as nicknamed by her mother, was to know genuine love, kindness, and compassion. She faithfully served the Lord and passed along the same passionate, God-fearing spirit she carried in her heart to her children and grandchildren whom she embraced as gifts from Heaven. Wherever she happened to be, it was certain that joy and laughter were also in the room. Her faith never wavered and, if you could not find her at home, she was likely at her church volunteering in one capacity or another. In fact, her famous pie recipes were replicated and purchased by countless people during the fundraisers that were sponsored and held at her church. She lived out her life in a way that brought honor to God and leaves a marvelous, unmatched legacy.
Dorothy is survived by her children, David Caylor (wife, Kathy) of Victoria, TX, Mark Caylor (wife, Barbara) of Victoria, TX, Robyn Pinson of El Paso, TX, and Greg Caylor (wife, Rebecca) of Houston, TX; Brother, Glenn Kirkland (wife, Geraldine) of Seguin TX, Sister-in-Law, Vedna of Seguin; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Caylor; parents, John and Cloma Kirkland; brothers, Rhea Kirkland and Paul Kirkland (wife, Betty); daughters-in-law, Pamela Sue Caylor and Billie Caylor; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Pinson.
