Dorothy Mary Rigby

Dorothy Mary Rigby, 85, of Victoria passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2015. She was born August 5, 1929 in Alice, TX to the late George and Irene Perkins. She was a graduate of Alice High School, worked for Bell Telephone in Alice, Temple and New Braunfels, TX. She married J. G. Rigby on June 9, 1951 in Alice, TX. She volunteered at Detar Hospital and the Senior Citizens Center in their retail shop. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church since the late 1950s.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, J. G. Rigby; son, Rodney Rigby, daughter, Debra Studer and husband, David; grandchildren, Sam (Trey) Dick III and wife, Amy, Austin Janel Bowen and husband, Bryan; great-grandchildren Bridget, Samantha and Alivia Dick.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bill Rigby.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6-7pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. The funeral will be held Friday, May 8, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dan Fultz officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are: Sam Dick III, Doug Phillips, David Studer, Robert Aldape, Lon Smith and Reuben Ybarra. Honorary pallbearer: Bryan Bowen.
