Dorothy Jean Walton

Dorothy Jean Walton, 87 of Victoria passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. She was born May 1, 1928 in Lufkin, TX to the late Richard H. and Caroline Hickman Sims. Dorothy had a master’s degree in education and taught school for five years in Freeport and retired from VISD after 25 years.

Survivors include her loving husband Leon Walton; daughters Janis McLaughlin of Brownwood, TX, Nancy Shock of Spring; sons James Walton of Dallas, David (Debra) Walton of Midland; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters and her beloved Boston Terrier, Bella.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by a brother.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 6-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Mr. Buddy Means officiating. Graveside services will be 10 AM, Monday, July 20, 2015 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
