

Doyle Van Nethery, 63 of Victoria passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Houston after complications from multiple surgeries. . Doyle was born March 6, 1948 in Lockhart, Texas to the late Glenn James and Lucille Breight Nethery. He was self employed in retail sales, a U.S. Marine serving in Vietnam and a member of Faith Family Church.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Ruth Elaine Angerstein Nethery of Victoria; daughter, Dawn Rene Otto and husband, Daren Otto and their children, John C. Otto and Kaley R. Otto of Meyersville; son, A. Kyle Nethery and wife, Melinda Coffey Nethery and their children, Kyleigh P. Nethery and Kassidy M. Nethery of Victoria; son, Bryan A. Nethery of Meyersville; daughter, Vanessa N. Cole and husband, Cody J. Cole and their daughter, Peyton Sofia Cole of Victoria; son, Jerad D. Nethery and wife, Kristin Harrison Nethery and their son, Taylor James Nethery; sisters, Ceclia Hollaway of New Braunfels, Jennifer Ellison of Seguin and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a company of “Strong” women and men that are an extension of our family that will live on in his name with a company which he started in 1988.
In addition to his parents, Doyle was preceded in death by his brothers, James Glenn Nethery and Clinton Edward Nethery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Larry Helms officiating. Flag folding and presentation will take place at the graveside under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Nethery, Bryan Nethery, Jerad Nethery, Cody Cole, Daren Otto and John Otto.
