

Edna Lee Kandler, 74 of Victoria passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 surrounded by her loving husband and daughter. Edna was born on January 22, 1940 in Laredo, Texas to the late John A. and Gertrude Fassnidge Gray. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and an active member of the Mission Valley PTA, Cub Scout Pack 442 and Stroman High School Band Booster Club.
Edna is survived by her husband of 59 years Ed Kandler, son John L. (Cheryl) of Rhode Island, daughter Mary T. (Anthony) Janis of Victoria; grandchildren, Erik and Justin Kandler of Atlanta, Ga., Laura Janis of Victoria and Steven Janis of Buda, Texas. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Eileen Swink and Joyce Cearley; brothers George and Clifford Gray.
The family will receive friends at Colonial Funeral Home Tuesday November 4, 2014 from 6 to 7 PM with rosary to follow at 7 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 10 AM from the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Monsignor Celestino Say officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
