

Edwin George Orsak Sr., 82, of Victoria passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016. He was born June 2, 1934 in Lavaca County to the late Joe and Rosie Tupa Orsak. He married Louise Klesel in 1955. Edwin was a meat market manager for Stanley’s Food Stores in Port Lavaca and Edna. He was also a farmer who loved tending to his yard and playing accordion. Edwin was happiest when barbequing for his family. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altar Society and SPJST.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Louise Marie Orsak of Victoria; daughters, Darline Freize and Debbie (Carlton) Dollery, both of Victoria; sons, Edwin G. Orsak Jr. of Victoria and Edward G. Orsak of Stockdale; brother, Clement Orsak of Victoria; grandchildren, Dustin Orsak (Carri), James Dollery (Jennifer), Hunter Dollery, Jesse Freize, Deborah Villarreal, Shawn Hulsey, Deanna Villarreal, Scott Orsak, Brian Orsak, Jerimiah Orsak (Sara), Edward Orsak Jr. (Elizabeth) and Amber Orsak; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Orsak and a sister, Hattie Kresta.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday, September 2, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Visitation will continue at 9 am Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by a Rosary at 9:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Orsak, James Dollery, Hunter Dollery, Leonard Leopold, Richard Kresta Jr. and Henry Joe Jasek. Honorary pallbearers will be Carri Orsak, Georgia West, Loyd West, Patsy Leopold, Delores Jasek, Jennifer Beaman, Amy Kresta and Carlton Dollery.
