Eleanor Oliver Christine Malik

Eleanor Christine Malik, 76, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011. She was born November 8, 1934, in Ventura, California, to the late Elmer Elvin and Tincie Branham Oliver. She was vice-president of Malik Cable Devices. She married Oscar J. Malik, Sr. on January 27, 1951.

Survivors include her daughter, Christine Thiele and her husband, Robert, of Salem, New Hampshire; sons, John Malik and his wife, Judy, and Dirk Malik, all of Victoria; sisters, Maureen Horton of Florida and Flora Cottrell of Washington; brothers, Ronald Oliver of Ft. Bragg, California, and Donald Oliver of California; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Malik, Sr., sisters, Beatrice Moss, Alma Davis, Alva Twiss, Udora Tinney and brothers, James Oliver, Elvin Oliver, Norman Oliver and Nelson Oliver.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, Rev. Nick Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Nicol, Robert Thiele, Noble Malik Jr., JD Gray, Mickey Cantrell, and Fernando Saldana.
