Ella May Dobbratz

Ella May Dobbratz, 86, of Telferner, passed away February 6, 2025. Ella was born May 23, 1938 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to the late Dora Heitmann and Walter Reuben Kahl. Ella was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Victoria.

Ella is survived by her children, Debra Ann Arena and husband, Jay of Bronxville, NY; and son, Daniel H. Dobbratz and wife, Andrea of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Hailey Shea Dobbratz (Ernesto), Kelsea Danielle Dobbratz (Jacob), and Dominic Arena; and one great grandson, Hagen Joseph Salinas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald (Don) H. Dobbratz; sister, Beverly Frederick; and brothers, Harvey Kahl and Walter Kahl Jr.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Burial and graveside service will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jacob Salinas, Shelby Fischer, Sammy Fischer, Darrell Hempel, Mark Bohac and Leyton Bohac.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 9806 Zac Lentz Parkway, Victoria, TX, 77904, and designated toward the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering in New Orleans.
