Ellis G. Smith, 86, of Victoria passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was born February 2, 1930 in Beeville to the late Herman and Gladys Herod Smith. He retired from Dupont after 37 years of service. Ellis enjoyed hunting, spending time at the deer lease and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Helen Smith of Victoria; daughter, Cheryl Marshall and her husband, Cecil of Kerrville; son, Joe Smith and his wife, Laurie of Victoria; two grandchildren, Lori Green and Kelly Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Worley Smith; son, Kenneth Smith; and sisters, Jeanelle Collier and Marilyn Nahas.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, November 7, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A private burial will be held at a later date.
