

Elsie Koehl, 97, of Wood Hi, a loving and caring mother peacefully left this life to be with our Lord in Heaven July 13, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born in the Mission Valley Community September 16, 1916, to the late Henry and Lillie Wurdell. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Homemaker, a member of the American Limousine Association, Texas Farm Bureau, Independent Cattleman’s Association and Rancher in the Wood Hi area.
She is survived by her daughters, Melva Toler of Inez, Ruth Armstrong (Brent) of Victoria; son, Edward Koehl (Connie) of Wood Hi, daughter-in-law, Laurie Koehl (Russell) of Victoria; eleven grandsons, twenty-two great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Koehl, daughter, Lois Faye Koehl, son, Clarence Koehl, son-in-law, Tom Toler and great-grandson, Garrett Koehl.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday July 19, 2014, from Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Barney Matocha and Mr. Don Angerstein officiating. Interment will follow in Wood Hi Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Doyle Boykin, Dale Boykin, Anthony Koehl, Judd Koehl, Cody Koehl, Chad Koehl, Nick Koehl, Wade Koehl, Sean Armstrong, Kyle Armstrong and Ty Armstrong.
