My grandma, my second mom. I still miss you and think of you every day.  Thank you for being there for us, for teaching us so much; the gardening, natural remedies, how to listen to and see nature, sewing. You inspired me to be who I am today. I will always hold fond memories of you and the years I was able to live with you and spend with you. I loved singing to you when I was a child, and I appreciate that you let me. :) Your creativity and your humor were unmatched. We still laugh about your antics today. More than anything, I'm grateful to have known you, and I thank you for all the moments you show up in my life now; in dreams and in my daily tasks in the garden or when I'm creating something.  Love you, grandma.

I wish I could have spent more time with grandma as I was growing up.  But I look forward to getting to know her again when, like so many others in the "memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."(John 5:28, 29) and "death will be no more..." (Revelation 21:4)

Miss you Grandma, wish I would have spent more time with you before you got sick.I know that you weren't happy and it seemed like you didn't want to be here anymore. I hope that you found the perfect place to be over there in the heavens. Love you always.

Thank you for the friend you have been to me.I will cherish all the wonderful memories and the many long conversations. You put your hope in the resurrection, as I also have, and we will not be disappointed, for in due time all who have fell asleep in death shall rise.

Our days are as the early dew on the leaves, refreshing for a short while -- here in the morning and then gone a little later -- when the sun comes out to dry up its moisture.  And when a beautiful spirit is extinguished, as quickly as a candle in the wind, the ones left behind or touched, even though briefly, grieve in their loss of the one so dearly loved.
But we have faith in the Resurrection and the hope of everlasting life on an earthly Paradise where sickness and death will be no more. (Job 14:14,15; John 5:28,29; Psalms 37:11,29; Luke 23:43; Isaiah 11:6-9; 35:1,5-7; 65:21-25; 33:24; Revelation 21:4)
One of Evelyn's favorite Kingdom songs (taken from Revelation 21:1-5) talks about seeing yourself in a world that is new, how it will be to live in peace, and the time for those in death to be awakened from their sleep.  Yet another song with such a beautiful promise just has to be added (from Job 14:13-15), the one where He will call and the dead will answer, they shall live at his command, he will have a yearning for the work of his hand.
Death is like a comma -- a pause -- in life.  So at this time, Evelyn's comma will have passed, as she hears His call and answers -- to now continue onward to the "real life" -- as Jehovah purposed from the start. (1 Timothy 6:19)
I long for the day when I will look out across my lot and see her coming toward me, her face radiant with happiness and I run to greet her; eyes fill with tears of joy, as I welcome her back in loving embrace with tender kiss.  ----  Yes, I long for that day when I can see my beloved mother again, where she can be and remain young and beautiful -- and healthy, for all eternity. (Job 33:25)
(1 John 2:17 "... he that does the will of God remains forever."  2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "... For though the tribulation is momentary and light, it works out for us a glory that is of more and more surpassing weight and is everlasting; ..."  Psalms 37:29 "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.")

I visited your grave yesterday, again.  I cannot express my sadness.  I am glad you lie beside our mother, that you are now home in the town where you were born. I will miss our occasional visits and our weekly telephone conversations.

I will always cherish our visit and chats thru out our lives. Pictures can bring the conversations back to life in our minds and hearts. You will always be a part of me and my family. We love you dearly, your niece

My condolences to the entire, complete family, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, Audrey, nieces and nephews, etc...  I so very much remember all the times that I looked out my grandparents window to see if your family's car was next door at the Winkins' on Saturday mornings. I love having the friendship, then and now.  May you rest in peace.

My Grandma,  I love you so much. We are going to miss so many things about you.  Thank you for taking such good care of me when I was a kid.
