My first memory of Evelyn was being invited to lunch to be interviewed to see if I was the one to help her with her and Lewis' new home that they were going to build in Edna. I passed the test and from there evolved one of the most personal relationships that I was ever to have with a client. Not long afterwards we met in her current home in Edna. Evelyn brought out the most interesting array of things that she deeply treasured that were from friends or events she never wanted to forget. My job was to bring them to life and make them be decorative in her new home---and to look like they belonged in a home as beautiful as their new one was to be. I was challenged, but I managed to not only please myself but her, too. We had a year long job together. I brought van load after van load of furniture, decorative pieces, etc. from Louis Shanks in San Antonio for her to see in her home and either okay or say no to. We clicked on almost every item except one. I still think I was right. She's laughing while reading this. She was a joy to work with, and she certainly was a great friend from then on. While I did do additional things to her home later, she always made it a point to tell me she had never moved a thing I had done nor allow it to be moved. We both thought of each other on a frequent basis and kept in touch with an occasional long note to each other. Her faith in me was most certainly a great catapult for my career. But most of all, I got to know and talk and share time with a truly great lady. This world of ours is a better place for her having lived in it. I love you, Evelyn. Rest in peace and know I'll look forward to seeing you again.

One of the sweetest, kindest, most selfless woman I had the honor of knowing. Her zest for life and her commitment to helping others, especially those seeking higher education opportunities, is commendable. Rest in peace my friend.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Evelyn Tittizer. I know she will be missed by her family and all those who knew her. Evelyn was a very special lady. I knew her through the American Business Women's Association. She was the Past President the year I was president. I couldn't have done it without her. She was a good friend, very caring and very knowledgeable.
May you find comfort in your faith and all the good memories of Evelyn, which will be wth you always. God bless you. Margie Sims
