She was born August 18, 1930, in Inez, TX, to the late Antonio Garza and Consuelo Cantu Garza. She met her forever love, our father Nasario Garcia, at a dance hall in Bloomington, TX.
They were married on August 8, 1950, and were married until our dad passed away in 2009 after 59 years of marriage. Their union gave us a legacy of eight children who were loved and taught to work hard, earn our money, and always save for rainy days.
Our mother was very religious, praying the rosary every day, praying for all of us and our families. She was very compassionate and willing to help anyone in need of whatever she could do for them in our large family.
She will be remembered for cooking the best chicken and rice and her famous tamales with her secret ingredient, and don't forget the Best Flour Tortillas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Nasario Garcia, her son Robert Lee Garcia and his wife Sonia Garcia, her daughter Diana Sue Garcia, granddaughter Lori Garcia, grandson Jason Rene Garcia, her sisters Helen Garza, Carrie Ramos and brother Lupe Garza and half-brother Antonio Garza, Jr., and daughter-in-law Felipa Garcia.
She is survived by her children, Yolanda Aguillon (Roy), John Joe Garcia (Tommie), Veronica Garcia (Alfred), Rene Garcia, Victoria "Vicky" Gonzales (Joe G), Rogelio "Roger" Garcia (Juanita), and son-in-law Anastacio Garcia, Jr.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and two on the way, and her sister, Angie Uresti (Inocencio).
We, the family, would like to thank all the nurses and nurses' aides of Hospice of South Texas who took care of our mother for the last three years, but especially these last three weeks of her life, showing her love and compassion every day.
Friends are cordially invited to join the family in praying the Holy Rosary at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Felicita's grandsons Dustin Snell, John Michael Garcia, Phillip Garcia, Robert Garcia, Jeremiah Garcia, Joe Anthony Garcia and Ruben Garcia.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests, with gratitude, that memorial donations be made in Felicita's memory to Hospice of South Texas, 1005 Mallette Drive, Victoria, TX 77904.
