

Frank Walter Loescher, 81, of Victoria passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. He was born July 13, 1930 in Sealy, TX to the late Frank B. and Minnie Dietzel Loescher. Frank was a pipefitter for Union Carbide, retiring after 30 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Julia Kahanek Loescher; sons, Randal (Debbie) Loescher, Dale (Theresa) Loescher both of Victoria; sister, Neomie Smith of Schurtz, TX; grandchildren, Kristine (Jason) Merrit, Michael Loescher, Scott Loescher, Kyle Loescher, Jennifer Wilson, Nick Wilson, Christian Wilson, Chelsea Wilson and three great grandchildren, Branden Merrit, Zachary Merrit and Kaitlyn Ciavarella. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Joe (Rosemary) Kahonek and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Loescher was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Grady Smith and daughter-in-law, Kathy Loescher.
Frank was a private man who enjoyed his years with his family and friends. He was very proud of his grandkids and their accomplishments. He enjoyed his years of retirement in their country home and loved his time outdoors.
Visitation will be held from 7-8:30 PM on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Yoakum.
The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory School in Victoria or American Cancer Society.
