Gail was born on August 8, 1949, to Gurley Chase Sr. and Ruth Schaefer Chase. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, faithful friend, and a woman whose kindness, faith, and humor left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gurley Chase Sr., and her mother, Ruth Schaefer Chase.
Gail is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tommie Glenn Hogan; her daughters, Christine Lee Postert and husband Fred Postert, and Tammy Lynn Hogan; her brother, Gurley Chase Jr. and wife Linda Chase; her grandchildren, Richard Lee Kingston and wife Jenna Kingston, Dean Edward Kingston and wife Emiley Kingston, and Jessica Renee Kingston; along with five great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
As the wife of a United States Air Force officer for 33 years, Gail traveled extensively alongside her husband, proudly supporting his military career while creating a lifetime of memories and experiences together. Through those years, she formed lifelong friendships and grew from a quiet young woman into someone who deeply loved connecting with and caring for others. Her experiences helped shape her loving spirit and deep appreciation for faith, family, and community.
Later in life, Gail became an important part of Life's Celebrations, where she worked alongside her daughter Christine helping build the business and bringing joy to countless people throughout the community. Whether helping with balloons, clowning, events, or simply making people smile, Gail loved being part of creating happy memories for others.
Gail was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served as an organist for many years. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, and she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving her church family. She was known for her fun personality, quick sense of humor, and ability to make people laugh.
Gail also had a deep love for creativity and crafting. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, oil painting, and many other crafts throughout her life. She found joy in creating things with her hands and sharing them with those she loved.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary Berger, Adrian Dasilva, Steve Frost, Felix Garcia, Lucas Glaeske, Joshua Lee, Jeff Rife, and Mike Samford.
Honorary pallbearers include Steve DeLeon, Kenneth Tones, and the Lunch Bunch of the Edna High School Class of 1967.
Gail will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her strength, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
