My most fond memories of Aunt Georgia are related to her wonderful hospitality when I was in College during 1967-71.  Twice I visited her in Corpus Christi Texas during spring break.  
One time my roommate Earl James (EJ) Williams went with me.  As we traveled through the south we had several problems when white folks were not willing to accept the black young man (EJ) who was traveling with me, but Georgia opened her home to both of us and she was a gracious hostess for several days.
The other time (during the same college years), Ron Kretschman and Dan DenBeste and I stopped to see Georgia on our way to Mexico.  Again Georgia opened her home to us and she was a gracious hostess for three college kids.
Georgia was a Nurse by profession.  During one of those spring-break trips, I wanted to see where she worked.  So she took me into the Pediatrics Intensive care Unit at the hospital.  When I saw several premature babies hooked up to tubes and nestled in incubators, I knew it took a special person to care for those tiny children.
