Geraldine E. Holzheuser Chamrad

Geraldine E. Chamrad, 92, of Victoria passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014. She was born on February 11, 1922 in Victoria to the late Robert E. L. Holzheuser and Julia B. Hiller Holzheuser. Geraldine was a retired secretary in insurance and at Victoria College. She was a lifelong member of First English Lutheran Church and had served in Women of the Church and Altar Guild. She was a member of the Riverside Women’s Golf Assoc. until age 80 and was also a member of the American Contract Bridge League.

Geraldine is survived by a daughter, Julia Ann Sarlls (Joe), of Victoria; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Faltysek (Lennert), Joseph Sarlls, Mark Sarlls, Phillip Chamrad, and Mitzi Arsola; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Richard I. Chamrad, son, Robert Chamrad, and sister, Renette C. Tompkins.

The Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014, 10 am at The First English Lutheran Church, Rev. Jim Pearson, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Sarlls, Joseph Sarlls, Jr. Mark Sarlls, Lennert Faltysek, Tim Faltysek and David Sarlls. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Chamrad and Mark Tompkins.
