

Harry M. “Frenchy” Bartholomew, Sr. , 82, of Victoria passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010. He was born July 2, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Edward and Maria Anita Batholomew. Frenchy was a construction supervisor while working for Brown and Root for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Malinda McWhorter Day Bartholomew of Victoria; sons, Harry Bartholomew, Jr. of League City, Timothy N. Bartholomew; Mark E. Bartholomew, Dennis M. Bartholomew all of Iron Station, North Carolina; step-daughters, Donna Thigpen of Wilmington, North Carolina, Rhonda Day Comstock of Manhattan Beach, California; Danna Day Askew of McGregor, Texas; step-sons, Jean Day of Victoria, William Day of Bloomington, Indiana; brother, Calvin Bartholomew of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bartholomew is preceded in death by a step-son, Drew Padgett, and a sister, Ruby Lee.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 10 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Dan Fultz officiating. Memorial services will follow at 11 AM, Thursday at Grace Presbyterian Church.
