

She was born on July 31, 1930 in Victoria to Louis and Emelia Heibel.
She graduated from Patti Welder High School and worked for several years at a downtown department store.
She married her one love, Douglas White on August 31, 1950. Together they raised 3 children. She was fun loving and very devoted to her family. She loved all of them very much.
Helen loved to dance and with Douglas they belonged to the Mustang Square Club and the Ganado Couples Club for several years where they made a lot of good friends.
She and Douglas loved to travel and made many long trips. She was an avid rock hound and always brought back several rocks for the yard.
After moving to Edna in 1965, she worked for 18 years at the First Bank of Edna. She started as a proof operator, then teller and then to the note department. She retired in 1987 as an officer in the note department.
She and Douglas served on the Jackson County Fair Board for several years.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas White on April 4, 2012, her parents and two brothers, Rawley Heibel and Clarence Heibel.
She is survived by her three children, Bruce (Cindy) White of Caldwell, Larry (Janet) White of Edna and Nancy (Wayne) Slatter of Spring; two sisters, Naida Blanar and Lucille Rogers; six grandchildren, Jeremy White, Jennifer White Bolton, Kristi Kinnison, Seth Slatter, Stephanie White and James White; five great grandchildren, Colton and Emily Bolton, Garrett and Sarah White and Ellie Slatter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with graveside services to follow in Crescent Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy White, Seth Slatter, James White, Rick Bolton, Will Kinnison, Jason Sulak and Fred Rickaway.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
