Henry was a remarkable man. My family worshiped with him at Eldridge Rd Church of Christ in the 1970's.  As a teenager I looked up to him and his wife in so many ways, they were both wonderful Christian examples.  I remember going to their "new house" reception and thinking how beautiful it was.  My mother was Odessa Alread, I am Debbie.  I'm sure no one now would remember us but I remember their influence.

Nancy and I are so sorry for your loss of Henry's presence, wit, and charm. We are glad that we were able to stop in on that Sunday afternoon to visit with all of you in person.

I knew Henry primarilly through emails. I would habitually ask the health of he and the family, including Aunt Georgia before she passed away. He would tell me how everyone but he himself was doing!

Barbara Ann, please remember that you have a first cousin in Montgomery who has loved you since we were kids. We have a guest room waiting for your visit!

Its hard to come up with words..Mr Starnes touched alot of peoples lives including mine! He was like a second father to me~ I cannot imagine what yall are going through. He will always have a special place in my heart! he had the funniest sense of humor and I will never forget the day he Baptized me. Im sorry I could not be there but will pay my condolences where lay to rest. My thoughts, prayers and tears are with you~ His Faith was an inspiration to me and always will be!

Barbara and family, The loss of a unique person like Henry is very hard but I'm sure he made all your lives happier by being with you.  He was a person who more of us should try to be like but very few can come close to doing.  He will be missed but with thanks that we were able to walk with him. Barbara and Family,

I was saddened to hear of Henry's passing, from Joanne.  Henry was one of the few people I could look to for advice. He always offered an ear to listen to me.  He was always interested in me and my family, had a great sense of humor, never felt sorry for himself even when things were tough, always was an example of a Christian gentleman, and has always been someone I looked up to as a Christian example.  I will miss him terribly. Ollie and I wish you and the  family our heartfelt sympathy in your loss.
