Hunter Allan Stockbauer of Austin, TX passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the age of 24. He was born February 4, 1997 in Victoria, TX. Hunter attended Lake Travis High School and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Texas State University on May 15, 2021. He was currently employed as a barista at Summer Moon Coffee Shop and was planning to start his first job as a financial advisor with Equitable Advisors in August.
Hunter grew up in Victoria, TX where he loved to spend time with his dad at his grandparents place out in the country. They enjoyed fishing, shooting guns and doing all the other things you do out in the country. He was the apple of his mother’s eye and always helped her. They enjoyed shopping together (for Hunter of course) and going to restaurants. She’ll never forget how he taught her to switch gears on her 10 speed or how they were constantly debating even the smallest details of life.
Hunter lived a very full life. He was especially enamored with his girlfriend Marian. She was the love of his life. He was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel internationally with his best friend Jake and really enjoyed his trips to Germany, the Netherlands, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean Islands. He also took numerous ski trips to Colorado and New Mexico.
Hunter really enjoyed time with his friends. They would go kayaking, play golf and just about any other sport you could play outside. He was a sports buff and an avid New England Patriots fan (even before they were winning Super Bowls).
Most of all, Hunter loved his dog Lulu. He would take Lulu to the dog park and the greenbelt to play, and he loved that dog more than anything.
Hunter’s infectious personality would cause people to gravitate towards him. Any time he spoke, everyone would listen to what he had to say. He was an extremely genuine human being with a knack for illuminating his presence wherever he was. He is, and always will be, a blessing to his friends and family. He was always teaching and willing to learn new things. One of my favorite qualities about Hunter is that he would always tell you 100% of his thoughts; never sugar coating or telling you what he thinks you want to hear.
His intentions were always pure. Talk about being comfortable in your own skin! He was always so bold when approaching new situations. Everything seemed to come to him so effortlessly. What a brilliant young man he was. His friend Camara believes Hunter had an immeasurable impact on his life and noted that Hunter was a young man with a slick tongue that could convince you he’s right even when he knows he’s wrong. HA!
Hunter was never judgmental, and you could talk to him about anything. He also loved to have fun; and plenty of it. Down to his core, he was an incredible person. Keep him in your heart forever. Cherish every second you were in his presence. He has the best seat in the house to watch over us all until we are reunited.
Hunter was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Stockbauer, Jr., and maternal grandfather Charles Thomas Wells. Hunter is survived by his parents, Jeffry Stockbauer and Martha Wells Brown and her husband Eric Brown and his son Jackson Brown, Paternal grandmother Gladys Stockbauer, maternal grandmother Mona Wells, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
