Inez Flores Cantu

Inez F. Cantu, 83, passed away April 18, 2018. He was born January 18, 1935 in Victoria to the late Francisco and Andrea Flores Cantu.

He retired after 25 years as a truck driver. Inez loved to bar-b-que and enjoyed spending time at home with family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rose Marie Lara Cantu; brother, John Cantu; sister, Mary Partida; his children, Stella Cantu, Sandra (Raul) Moreno, Edna (Armando) Trevino, Emily (Jerry) Gomez, Virginia (Jeronimo) Garcia and Martin Cantu; his 12 grandchildren; 27 great children; and one great-great grandchild; his stepchildren, Tommie C. (Samuel) Garcia, Ramona C. (Guadalupe) Castillo, Susana Cantu, Margaret C. Perez, Patsy C. Martinez and Clem (Linda) Cantu; 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; his first wife, Emily Quesada Cantu; and his son, Inez Flores Cantu, Jr.

Family and guests will gather for a visitation from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, April, 23, 2018 and followed by a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April, 24, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home with Deacon Fred Soto presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Pallbearers are Edwin Cantu, Armando Trevino, Raul Moreno, Xavier Cantu, Michael Moreno and Clem Cantu.

He is survived by a legacy of 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild, as well as from his Step Children, he is survived by 15 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren and 23 Great-Great Grandchildren. Inez was also preceded in death by Four Brothers and Four Sisters.
